11 Dec 10 Is Large Dog Bed a Necessity?

To be a conscientious dog owner you have to make a commitment to meeting all of your dog’s needs. Since dogs sleep many hours each day and night, a good bed is definitely a necessity. Maybe that means the dog will be sharing your bed with you, but many dog owners prefer to make other arrangements.

So you’ll want to find a dog bed that is appropriate for your dog. There are all kinds to choose from, in all shapes and sizes. It is safe to assume that a larger dog will require a large dog bed, so yes, it is a necessity if you have a large dog. A smaller dog will prefer a smaller bed. Some dog beds are elevated, some are heated, some are round and some rectangular. Some dog beds have bolstered sides for added warmth and protection. When you choose a proper bed for your dog know you are seeing to your dog’s health and well being and she or he is better off for it.

30 Dec 09 Great Large Dog Bed Ideas

Has your puppy outgrown his puppy bed and in need of a large dog bed for better fit and comfort? If so, I want to tell you about a site I found that could be some help to you…

There are many things to consider when purchasing a new dog bed. Size is obviously a big one! It is better to oversize than not have something large enough. For large breeds, that may mean getting the largest bed possible. You want your pet to feel comfortable and safe in their piece of furniture in your home, and hanging off the sides may not only be silly looking, it could lead to hip and lower back problems for Fido.

If your dog is still in the chewing stage, you may want to consider a material that is resistant to chewing. Also bear in mind the color of your dog’s fur if it is a shedder. Being able to slightly conceal its fur in a similar colored bed can be a plus, especially during the summer shedding months – even if you are constantly vacuuming the bed.
