If you are interested in keeping ferrets as pets, then there are some things you need to know about taking care of them. The 1st thing is that no matter how many ferrets you have, you will need a decent sized cage. This is because your ferret will spend most of his time inside the cage so you want to have a cage is big enough for him to run around and play.
The other thing is that you need to feed your ferret a good quality ferret food. Ferrets have a very high metabolism and a short digestive tract so they need to be very high quality protein food that is low in carbs and has about 28% fat. You can buy specially formulated food in the grocery store.
Finally, be sure that you spend time playing with and training your ferret. They can be really fun pets and companions and can actually be taught to do a lot of tricks so they can be a lot of fun to hang around with.
