You can find a quality aquarium screen saver that looks like the real thing.
Designers have taken great care in making realistic backgrounds that offer many of the benefits of a real fish tank without all of the hassle.
I love the idea of owning an aquarium of my own but I am realistic enough to know that I will never be able to adequately keep up with maintaining the unit with all of the things that I have to do on any given day.
Instead, I just put an aquarium screen saver on my computer while I am doing my daily chores.
