"In a nutshell, air purification systems using ozone will not cause any harm to humans or even any pets that we may have."

Air Purification System
Many studies conducted recently indicate that often times indoor air pollution is much more concentrated and harmful than pollution outdoors. In modern times we have mastered the art of containing heat within our homes and buildings, which also means we have locked in any potential contaminants our structures have as well. With the chemicals involved in insulation, insecticides, cleaning products, glues, paints, fabrics, heating and cooling systems, and many of our home appliances, there are indeed a lot of potentially toxic agents within buildings today. It has also been demonstrated that most colds and infections people catch are acquired while indoors, not from bacteria or viruses outside. Since the majority of people?s time is spent indoors, many people have turned to the use of an air purification system.

Air purification systems work by using the chemical known as ozone to oxidize potential pollutants and kill microorganisms in the air. Though this sounds a little confusing or perhaps even dangerous to anyone not familiar with chemistry, this oxidation process is both natural and safe.

Actually the same ozone oxidation that occurs in an air purification system occurs all around us every day. There are certain levels of ozone in the air even at sea level which oxidize pollutants naturally. Oxygen itself can also oxidize certain chemicals, though it is less effective than ozone. The process of oxidation is very similar to what happens when you burn something. Essentially, when something burns it is converted from a solid into carbon dioxide and water vapor. The same conversion occurs from the oxidation by ozone, minus the heat, smoke, and ash, and ozone is much more selective about what it can ?burn?.

In a nutshell, air purification systems using ozone will not cause any harm to humans or even any pets that we may have. They will, however, destroy bacteria, viruses, and convert many toxic chemicals found inside buildings into harmless carbon dioxide and water vapor. An air purifier will also destroy a lot of common odors that plague indoor environment.

Whether you live in a house or an apartment, an air purification system is a wise investment, especially if you find yourself suffering from allergies, colds, and infections frequently. Air purifiers are especially recommended for business owners. The odors involved in a restaurant, the toxins in a paint shop, or the allergens of a pet shop can all be significantly reduced by an ozone based air purifier.

Air Purification System
One of the hottest items to hit the market in recent years is the air purification system. There are many different models to consider on the search for the right unit for your home. These different models in the air purification system offer a range of features and a pretty vast price range. You are certain to find something that meets your needs as well as your budget.

Research can help you come to a decision. Reading reviews and browsing through the many different types of products available can be very time consuming. You may want to make a few considerations that can help you weed out some products that won't meet your expectations. Your air purification system should meet your personal needs.

One of the best items on the market today is the BlueAir. I really love this air purification system for a number of reasons. The first and most important aspect as far as I'm concerned, is the motor. The BlueAir system is silent. I don't mean that it's quiet. I mean that you can't hear the thing running at all.

The silent nature of the BlueAir is the top reason that I love this air purification system. Some units are downright loud. Others are quite tolerable for normal folks. However, I am easily distracted by sounds and I find that the quieter the equipment is, the better I am able to get through my day.

You can also rest assured that the BlueAir product is not going to put strain on your electric bill. This air purification system cleans the air. It runs silently and it doesn't cost much to run at all. What more could you ask for? I guess that you could ask for more; like easy maintenance.

I'm not crazy about anything technical in the least. I have no background as a handyman and I most certainly avoid touching stuff like my furnace and tankless water heater. However, I am more than happy to change the filters on my air purification system. Change up is a breeze and I love seeing how well the unit is working.

Having an air purification system has been a life-changing experience for me. I can get a good night's sleep without worrying about pet dander, pollution and smoke. The BlueAir cleaning system has left me peace of mind knowing that I am doing all that I can to make my home as healthy and happy as I can.

Do not shoot the pet dear with that rifle!

Airsoft Sniper Rifles
I like to think of myself as a big kid at heart. Maybe even kind of a prankster. The kind of guy who enjoys the finer things in life. Well, the finer things that some adults would refuse to enjoy. You know, like RC vehicles, paintball wars and airsoft sniper rifles. This is good stuff! On a clear day, I can sit up in my bedroom window with AR-15 assault rifle in my hand. I'm talking airsoft replica of course. Just as I peer out over the neighborhood, I spot that old lady who walks her dog to my front lawn so it can poop. And of course it's one of those little dogs. That's all anyone cares for anymore. Especially women. They have to buy those dogs that stand smaller than a cat. It's some bizarre and twisted trend I tell ya. So anyway, as I line up my sights on these two criminals, I crack a small grin of satisfaction before I squeeze the trigger and pop that old lady right in the behind. It certainly makes my day to see her jolt with a wince and then hurry away. Maybe she'll keep that darn dog out of my yard next time. And if not, I always have more ammo.

There was a flick back in the 1980s called "Men at Work." Or maybe it was around 1990. Regardless, this is where I got my idea to purchase airsoft sniper rifles. Yeah, if you saw the flick, you know what I'm talking about. These two garbage men loved to sit up in their window and shoot random individuals with their pellet rifle. It was always in the butt. that's classic stuff. Now, do you see how the film industry influences? I blame that movie and the people who made it for my love of airsoft sniper rifles. Emilio Estevez is the one who got me started. It's funny how art can influence life.

Okay, here's the real deal. There are loads of great airsoft sniper rifles available now days. What their great for is paper-punching. You can do plenty of indoor target practicing with airsoft sniper rifles. Heck, you can even pick a sunny day and set up targets around your yard and shoot out of windows. Just don't knock it until you try it. Oh, and if there just happens to be some annoying neighbor who has to bring their dog into your yard to use the bathroom on your lawn, don't be too shy to pop them in the keyster. It's doubtful they'll come back after that. I call it good old-fashioned negative reinforcement.

Allergic Reaction
Our bodies are much like finely tuned machines. Every part of our body has a job to do. If something goes amiss there are signals that tell us that. It may be a pain, a bruise or an allergic reaction. Whatever it is, it is a message that says that something isn't the way it should be. For anyone who has ever sneezed or gotten a rash because of an adverse reaction to something, they know how important it is to determine the root of the problem.

Hay fever afflicts millions of people each year. When the temperature warms up and spring begins, the number of people sneezing with runny and itchy eyes increases. You've also probably noticed that there are more commercials on television for medications that help with an allergic reaction to dust and pollen. If you've been diagnosed with seasonal allergies you know how frustrating they can be.

Dogs are hairy!

Allergies vary from person to person. Some kids who find themselves allergic to pet dander, certain foods and dust, may actually outgrow some or all of those as they mature. The same is true of children who are allergic to penicillin. As they grow, their body chemistry changes and what was once an allergic stimulant might not be anymore.

The best and most efficient way to determine what you are allergic to is to visit a specialist. This is someone who is skilled in testing people, just like you, for allergies. After a brief consultation, the patient is administered a series of tests to see what causes an allergic reaction.

This is actually vitally important for people who have serious allergies. Some individuals can actually die from their reactions to certain substances. Anaphylactic shock is the most severe type of allergic reaction in which the individual's body begins to shut down. The throat may be become swollen, it is almost impossible to breathe and if left untreated, serious harm and death can occur. That's why it's smart for those who have allergies, or for parents of children with allergies to have the tests done.

It's not uncommon for families to share the same reactions to certain substances. If one of your parents were allergic to cats or dogs, there's a fairly good chance that you'll have that same allergic reaction. Food allergies also tend to run in families, so if you are a parent with a very severe allergy to nuts, make certain your kids are checked before they eat peanuts.

Although it's inconvenient and frustrating at times to struggle with these types of reactions there are many methods of effective treatment. After diagnosis, it's a good idea to sit down with your doctor to talk about a treatment plan that will work for you. Then you can get out and enjoy life without having to worry too much about your allergies.

Allergic Reactions
Allergic Reactions

Allergic reactions can be very serious or even fatal and it can occur almost instantly leaving little reaction time. Allergic reactions occur when a persons who are sensitive to an allergen experience uncomfortable symptoms. Common allergens that trigger symptoms are dogs, cats, bee stings, dust, dust mites, trees, weeds, molds, and foods, such as nuts, strawberries, and shellfish, which usually start to occur within seconds of exposure and can cause mild to moderate reactions such as, skin rashes, hives, itching, sneezing, or watery eyes. More moderate to severe allergic reactions include difficulty breathing, swelling of tongue, wheezing, nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain, chest pain or tightness, and unconsciousness. Acute anaphylactic allergic reactions happen suddenly and progress rapidly; treatment must be administered within fifteen minutes or death could occur from anaphylactic shock.

Most allergic reactions occur quickly but some may take up to a few hours, and do not usually occur after twenty-four hours from exposure. Allergic reactions tend to be more severe when exposure to allergen is repeated on different occasions, and each time it requires smaller and smaller amounts of the allergen to cause symptoms. In most cases of environmental and pet allergies, simply taking an antihistamine such as Benadryl, and/or a decongestant will relieve symptoms, and some people also may also require immunotherapy and asthma treatment in addition to other medications as well. Substances like shellfish, poison ivy, peanuts, and bee stings should be avoided whenever possible, because more severe reactions usually result when exposure occurs. Some adults and children who have experienced severe allergic reactions in the past, must carry an Epi-Pen in case of accidental exposure. The Epi-Pen contains epinephrine and comes in a pre-filled syringe ready for emergency administration. Simply pull off the needle guard and inject into a large muscle, such as the thigh. The Epi-Pen can be administered right through clothing so there is no need to waste valuable time trying to remove clothing.

After an allergic reaction has begun it is very important to monitor the person. If symptoms do not subside within five minutes and they continue to worsen even after administration of an Epi-Pen, emergency treatment should be sought immediately. Visit the National Library of Health and National Institutes of Health at www.nlm.nih.gov for more information on allergic reactions and answers to other health related questions. Allergic reactions are quite common and it is important that people know what to do in the event one occurs to themselves or someone else - it could be a matter of life or death.
